Dr Sanjay Yadav has more than 17 years’ experience of teaching, research, and extension. He joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary Sciences, Hisar in June, 2010. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of Associate Professor and Professor in the year 2018 and 2021, respectively. Currently Dr. Yadav is the Head of this Department since September, 2021. Dr. Yadav has expertise in development of designer and functional meat products by utilising low cost plant and agri processing waste and improving shelf life of meat products by utilising natural ingredients in place of synthetic chemicals. He received a certificate of Honour from worthy Vice Chancellor, LUVAS for his contribution in bringing an externally funded research project. He has more than 50 research articles in journals of National and International repute under his name. Dr. Yadav has contributed to more than 10 books, compendiums, teaching and training manuals for undergraduate and postgraduate students of veterinary sciences and livestock products technology. Under his guidance, the Department has conducted more than 10 training on livestock products processing for unemployed youth. He has guided 4 Ph.D. and 4 MVSc students with thesis on development of healthy meat products by incorporating dietary fibre, natural antioxidants, bioactive compounds and designing of on package indicator sensors for meat quality monitoring. Under his guidance, the department is working on development of meat and dairy processing techniques for sustained growth, creation of employment opportunities and specialized human resources and promoting entrepreneurship in the dairy and meat sector.
